Walking in the footsteps of Maya–
Following the path of Alice’s garden:
I found myself in Walden’s woods,
resting by Langston’s rivers.
I learned about love and treachary
by way of Shakespeare as
Balwin had me mesmerized with
his crisply, precise words of color
and justice…
I learned from Gwendolyn, Amiri
Audre, and Emily. I learned from
Sonia, Rita, Nikki, Glenis, MOody
and all of those who put life on paper and
screamed it to the wind to be
delivered to unknown places!
