There was a time when…
I didn’t think the rain would ever pass.
Every day was a lifetime.
Every night was an eternity.
The rain would fall.
Thunder would boom.
Lighting would flash—
Then, the sun would shine, at last.
There was a time when…
I didn’t think the rain would ever pass.
I cried all day.
I cried all night.
My heart was broken.
The years of cracks were sealed, with salty tears.
Then one day—
The sun rose high, at last.
There was a time when…
I didn’t think the rain would ever pass.
One day it did.
I awakened to a smile rising upon my face.
I felt my heart begin to race.
I was so happy—
The sun rose high again, at last.
There was a time when…
I didn’t think the rain would ever pass.
…and then, one day, it did.
